This is a complex operation so please keep clear during transit and when parked up. Safety is our number one priority so there are no designated viewing opportunities available.
The load will be travelling in stages across four days and nights to minimise disruptions.
Plan your journey
The transport vehicle is over 370 tonnes and over 80 metres long which means it must travel at a very slow speed of only 25km/h. At over five metres wide, it takes up the entire width of the road, so can’t be overtaken.
We’ll have a crew on site for the whole operation, making sure your roads stay safe during and after the move. They’ll be assisting to get the vehicle safely around corners, temporarily removing signage and lights, placing steel supports over existing drainage and then putting everything back in place once the superload has passed through.
The planned route for the superload is subject to change.
The superload will travel along the following aertial roads for further information refer to map above.
- Springvale Road
- Ferntree Gully Road
- Nepean Hwy
- Pickles Street
- Wurundjeri Way
- Footscray Road
- Francis Street
- Ballarat Road
- Princes Fwy
- Princes Hwy
- Colac-Ballarat Road
- Coragulac-Beeach Road
Where can I see the superload?
Due to the size of the Superload, there are no designated viewing opportunities available for this move due to safety. We ask pedestrians, cyclists and motorists to stay well clear of the superload while in transit.
