Some loose stones may be present on the road, and line markings are less visible than usual, which means extra care needs to be taken when driving through the area.

To protect road users, a temporary safer speed limit of 40km/h will be in place along this section of road until the end of March.

If you’re traveling along the Great Alpine Road, please plan-ahead, allow for up to 15 minutes of extra travel time and drive safely.

We are continuing to monitor and treat the road surface as necessary, until weather conditions allow us to conduct longer-term treatments.

Crews are also working on parts of the Great Alpine Road, as part of our regular maintenance schedule. For more information on road works and delays, visit the VicTraffic website
