The safer 60km/h speed will replace the current 80km/h following an assessment by the Department of Transport on the features of the road, roadside hazards, and crash data.
A new safer speed of 80km/h replaced the 90km/h limit along Black Forest Drive from Mount Macedon Road and Coach House Boulevard earlier this year.
These safer speeds are in response to community concerns about safety on Black Forest Drive. The new limits will make the road safer for all users and better reflect the road environment.
By making sure the speed limit is right for the road, we can help prevent crashes and reduce their severity.
