Update - May 2022

Works on the project will begin on 9 May 2022 and take approximately 3 months to complete, weather permitting.

Overview

We are completely replacing the road surface on Melbourne-Lancefield Road between Bolinda Creek Bridge and Mullalys Road, Bolinda to create a safer and smoother journey for all road users. The existing surface will be  removed to rebuild solid foundations before resurfacing the entire length for a safer and more durable surface.

Project impacts

During construction, traffic will be restricted to one lane, with the speed reduced to 40km/h within the work zone.

The works will also include the trimming of the large cyprus trees for safety reasons as they are too close to the road. A small number of trees which have fallen down will also need to be removed.

We recommend that you allow 5-10 minutes extra travel time to your journey while works are underway.

Please remember to drive to the conditions to protect our workers and other road users.

We thank you for your patience while we complete these important safety improvements.
