Across the Hume Region - from the Goulburn Valley to the Ovens Murray - and our Alpine regions we're delivering major upgrades plus vital safety and maintenance improvements.
Our Hume region takes care of communities across the city of Greater Shepparton; the rural cities of Benalla, Wangaratta and Wodonga; the shires of Alpine, Indigo, Mansfield, Mitchell, Moira, Murrindindi, Strathbogie and Towong; and the Alpine resorts of Mount Buller, Falls Creek, Mount Hotham, Lake Mountain and Mount Stirling.
What we’re doing
Key projects underway in Hume Region include bridge strengthening and drainage works at Nimmo Bridge in Myrtleford and Nine Mile Creek Bridge and Pranjip Bridge on the Hume Freeway.
We have flexible safety barrier installation projects in delivery on key regional routes including the Goulburn Valley Highway between Seymour and Kialla and on the Midland Highway between Shepparton and Benalla.
As part of the joint Australian and Victorian Government Targeted Road Safety Works program the Midland Link Highway between the Midland Link and Magills Lane will be made safer with road widening works, installation of safety barrier, wide-centreline treatment and audio-tactile linemarking.
This program will also see us deliver intersection improvement works at four locations on the Midland Highway between Benalla and Swanpool.
